30 days of Portraits - using a Barbie as a model.

Day One

Meet Raquelle.  She's my model for now.  She does whatever I ask her to do, no questions asked.  I just plan on having fun taking 'portraits' of barbie.  I'm sure they will never hold much personality as using a real human because real eyes speak so loudly while plastic flat painted on eyes are, well, lifeless :)

  7. This certainly does not look lifeless to me. With your wonderful lighting and dof, you have turned this piece of plastic into an exquisite portrait! The doll house wall background adds to the "believableness" of this picture. You have achieved what we think our toys do at night, they come alive :) Great job!

  9. What a great theme and I think you are the perfect person to pull it off. It reminds me of a barbie bridalshoot I posted some weeks ago ;)
Your barbie looks so new & modern, nothing like the old and worn out by years of playing I have laying in the attick.

  10. Very awesome subject choice. I'm sure you'll end up with a bunch of nice photos when you build a brothel for the kids for your next project!

  11. Oh, and an awesome photo. I love how you got the lighting quite natural for a photo that's obviously quite macro.
