Day Eight

Raquelle takes a rest in her livingroom by a warm fire.

So, I was trying to create a look as if the lamp actually worked and was on - for that I was shining the small flashlight on the lamp.  It wasn't quite strong enough so I tried to help it with some dodging, but I think I failed at that. :)  I have things I now have to do for the day so I can't retry, oh well!

  1. I see purple... and a window... and some books... LMAO

I love how the lamp is looks lit up. I noticed that before I even read your description!

  2. I think the lamp thing nearly works. It might have been good if you could have shone a very narrow torch beam down into the lamp from the top, but I don't know whether that doll's house has a ceiling or not.

Anyway, that pose and crossed legs, as well as the slightly crooked wrist and laid back pose work soooo well. You really are getting some lifelike poses out of her! Very well done.

She looiks like she is SUCH a babe!

  3. What a lucky Barbie to have her own house. I love her relaxed pose and the colours in this photo.

  4. Aah! - She's starting to chill a bit, losing some of that ...'stiffness' from previous shots, perhaps its the change of clothes or just the pose but either way it's a killer shot.

  5. I love the DoF in this shot.

And the pose is so natural. It looks like she's waiting to be interviewed in her own living room.

  6. The lamp lighting almosts works, perhaps having the light an out top and bottom and a slightly darker middle band on either side of the shade - post processing i know but doable.
    Another good shot regardless.

  7. She is getting some relaxation for sure. I loved the crossed legs, leaning back in the couch, the fire place, and the kicked off shoes. Every detail is spot on for relaxation! Your attention to detail does not only go for making the house it can be seen in the set up of the scene as well! Great job!

  8. I love how you pay attention to every little detail. I think I would have tried to light the lamp from inside a a moment. Perhaps a christmastreelight might have worked.
